About The Position

At Bonusly Engineering, we prioritize delivering value to our customers over merely shipping code. Our approach emphasizes understanding customer needs and how our changes impact their experience. We actively use our own product, which informs our development decisions. Engineers collaborate closely with Product Management and Design to define the problems we aim to solve, which sometimes requires stepping away from coding to gain customer insights.

Requirements

• Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, or both is preferred.
• Five or more years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Experience leading projects with clear goals but ambiguous solutions.
• Prior experience working in a startup environment or having founded a company.
• Understanding of SaaS business fundamentals such as annual contract value, customer acquisition cost, and annual recurring revenue.

Responsibilities

• Work in React, Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, and Postgres to solve problems for our customers.
• Dive into all layers of the stack; frontend, backend, API, data processors, etc.
• Be a key influencer on how we build projects that are high-value for our customers, and lead execution of those projects to completion.
• Collaborate daily with Designers, Customer Support, and other Engineers to shape the direction of our products.
• Share your knowledge with fellow Engineers to help them improve their craft, regardless of your experience level.
• Contribute to the psychological safety of your team, fostering good relationships.
