About The Position

The team at Advanced Space is leading humanity back to the Moon and pioneering innovative solutions in the space industry. This team is seeking a Software Engineer responsible for developing ground and flight software for missions to the Moon and beyond. Requirements

  • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional work experience required.
  • 5-8 years of experience with spacecraft software systems, system architecture and/or mission control systems.
  • Manages components of projects independently, balancing technical work with light mentoring of newcomers.
  • Cultivates Innovation Actively participates in design reviews and technical discussions; offers constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrates self-driven learning and continuous improvement; identifies gaps in skills and proactively seeks solutions.
  • Begins to influence project direction through proposal of innovative solutions.
  • Tackles complex, ambiguous problems requiring synthesis of information from multiple technical domains and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in the Westminster, CO office 5 days/week during core business hours.
  • Applicants must be a US Citizen
  • Top Secret Security Clearance required

Responsibilities

  • Able to write and debug basic code.
  • Working on design principles applicable to medium scale efforts.
  • Awareness of software lifecycle stages and basic principles to follow within each
  • Limited familiarity with industry tools and best practices.
  • Working on estimating skills for small (< 2 weeks) tasks.
  • Strong willingness to learn industry-specific tools, libraries, and operating systems.
