About The Position

Duties: Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Developer, or related occupation. Skills Required: This position requires (3) three years of experience with the following: Designing systems and components using UML/sequence diagrams in z/OS and AWS; Building and running Docker containers in EKS/ECS/Kubernetes with blue/green deployment patterns; Coding using Java and Spring Boot, including Spring Data JPA, Hibernate to develop backend microservices and REST APIs; Implementing multistage pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins; Defining and managing job schedules and dependencies using CA7 and Control; using Changeman to manage source and promotions across multiple environments with rollback procedures; Coding and version control using Git with branch protection and PR workflows in GitHub or Bitbucket; and Configuring Maven for dependency management and reproducible builds. This position requires (2) two years of experience with the following: Coding on AWS platform using EKS/ECS to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications in the cloud; and Building asynchronous, event-driven systems and message-based integration between microservices using AWS step functions, AWS SQS, and Kafka. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Developer, or related occupation.
