About The Position

Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The Sponsor's office provides enterprise data services, federated search, and knowledge management services to enable search and discovery of Sponsor data, as well as improve collaboration across the organization. The Sponsor requires support specializing in the innovative development of search services, data repositories, and knowledge management services. Provide project management and technical support to manage projects and perform software development activities within budget in the areas of: Enabling search against structured and unstructured data sets Federating searches across external data sources Coordinating, tagging, organizing, and collaborating on documents across the organization Leveraging machine language to discover content that would otherwise be missed via Boolean Incorporating artificial intelligence to perform predictive analysis and make recommendations based on historical data Participate in all Lean Agile scrums, sprints, and grooming sessions. Manage the progress of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product integration and development efforts. Ensure tasks are completed on schedule. Consult and coordinate appropriately for problem resolution, task scheduling, new resource requirements, and task clarification. Understand cloud environments such as AWS or Azure. Coordinate and collaborate with security, operations, engineering, testing, and other teams to provide system information and technical support. Create, manage, and update Jira tickets. Design, develop, and modify software systems. Document and track vendor software roadmaps for software and patch version updates. Perform unit testing and conduct code reviews.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI W/ Full Scope Polygraph (existing clearance required to start)
  • Expertise in Java & SpringBoot
  • Hands on experience with AWS and Microservices
  • Develop detailed design and produce associated deliverables.
  • Translate customer and system requirements into effective design solutions.
  • Design system interfaces that meet technical and functional requirements
  • Experience developing Single Page Applications using HTML5, CSS3, and Angular 18+.
  • Hands-on experience developing applications and RESTful web services using technologies such as Solr, Elastic, Postgres, Java, Scala, RDS, Spring Framework, Spring Security, and Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience working with relational and non-relational database systems such as Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, and Postgres.
  • Hands-on experience with and troubleshooting Internet and Web related protocols and technologies such as Tomcat, Nodejs, Web Services, or SSL.
  • Hands-on experience developing JUnit and Jasmine tests.
  • Experience with testing platforms such as Jest or Karma.
  • Hands-on experience working with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Nexus.
