Software Engineer - GSS Team On-site in Huntsville, AL Target salary range: $70,000 - $90,000.00 Active Top Secret Clearance Required to Start Responsibilities: Design, develop, document, debug, and test software applications Collaborate with software and systems engineers to understand and address user needs Contribute to full software lifecycle activities including requirements definition, system integration, and deployment Prioritize and adapt development tasks with minimal oversight in a fast-paced setting Apply object-oriented design principles and scalable software design patterns Deliver maintainable code that meets mission-critical operational needs Communicate effectively with both technical teams and customer stakeholders Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship required Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 2+ years of software development experience, or Master’s degree Clearance: Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance (required at time of hire) Proficient in Java and C++ (minimum 2 years of experience) Experience using JavaFX and Java 21 features Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) design principles and patterns Experience with Git version control Proficient in Linux (RHEL8 preferred) environments for software deployment and troubleshooting Familiarity with Eclipse IDE
