The Business Application Developer is an agent of change who works collaboratively with the development team and business partners to design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and service business solutions. This role is a remote opportunity working within the Wisconsin footprint. Occassional need to be in-person for team meetings and corporate events. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Position Specific Responsibilities Actively participate in projects and initiatives following defined Agile development methodologies and standards. Work with business partners to define technical requirements for the development and implementation of useful technology solutions. Design and build technology solutions leveraging appropriate development technologies while adhering to standards to prevent security vulnerabilities. Monitor solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness as well as minimize downtime. Maintain appropriate levels of privacy for customer and corporate data. Provide timely and effective support for internally developed solutions. Document technical requirements and designs for solutions as well as related support information. Effectively communicate technology concepts to business partners as appropriate. Participate in educational opportunities to keep current with industry trends and advancements. Make recommendations to pursue appropriate new technologies for managing the development lifecycle. For Application Development: Perform Object Oriented development of web and console applications with C#.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and J-query leveraging MS-SQL Server for data storage and retrieval. For Data Warehouse Development: Leverage Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio .NET, SSIS, and T-SQL scripting to develop custom databases, data warehouses, and ETL processes. For Platform Specific Development: Provide platform governance for security, usage analytics, and reporting. Development Skills: General Building internal tools, integrations, and customer facing web applications Retrieving and storing data using SQL server (SQL, SSIS, SSRS) Troubleshooting and debugging Support activities related to internal applications and integrations Cross functional team engagement including on and offsite business partners and vendors Secure Coding practices - OWASP Python REST API Development Strong Unit testing Patterns and practices .NET Development Webforms ASP.NET MVC Console Applications Modernization of legacy applications to .NET Core Web HTML & CSS JavaScript & JS Frameworks (React) Azure Resource Management App Services & Service Plans Azure Functions Service Bus APIM Application Insights Reddis Cache DevOps Azure Dev Ops Build and Release Pipelines Test Automation Architecture Domain Driven Design Event Driven Architecture Other (Nice to have) Q2 SDK Development Automated Testing (UI & Integration) Terraform (IaC) Varacode Static and/or Dynamic testing, automation, and pipeline configuration Migration of Applications to Azure
