About The Position

DESCRIPTION: Duties: Participate in the design and development of scalable and resilient systems on Cloud Platform by following JPMC process, practices, and CI/CD deployment methods. Execute software development and technical troubleshooting. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation. Apply technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies. Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technology Architect, Web Developer, Computer Programmer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technology Architect, Web Developer, Computer Programmer, or related occupation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technology Architect, Web Developer, Computer Programmer, or related occupation.
  • Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technology Architect, Web Developer, Computer Programmer, or related occupation.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications and infrastructure in a cloud environments including AWS Cloud, Terraform, and programming languages including Java, Python, JavaScript, Spring Boot, React, CloudWatch, Jenkins, GitHub actions, Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana to enable the delivery of high-quality solutions efficiently
  • Utilizing AWS Cloud services to deploy and manage applications to ensure high availability and scalability
  • Utilizing Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources to streamline operations and reduce manual effort
  • Utilizing Java and Python to build robust backend services and APIs
  • Implementing Spring Boot to create microservices that enhance application modularity and maintainability
  • Using React to develop responsive and dynamic user interfaces
  • Maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process
  • Integrating testing and deployment stages to ensure rapid and reliable releases to enhance the overall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Designing and implementing strategies to ensure applications remain available and performant under adverse conditions
  • Incorporating redundancy, failover mechanisms, and automated recovery processes to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity
  • Implementing observability practices using Cloudwatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana
  • Monitoring application performance, troubleshooting issues, and gaining insights from machine data to ensure applications run optimally and securely
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies
  • Adapting to changing requirements, delivering iterative improvements, and fostering collaboration within cross- functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
