This role involves working on export‑controlled programs supporting avionics systems and requires the ability to lead design, implementation, and integration of mission‑critical software.
Requirements
- U.S. Person under ITAR (citizen or permanent resident)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including aerospace or avionics systems
- Hands‑on expertise with ARINC 615/615A, avionics data loaders, and aircraft data interfaces
- Proficiency in C, C++, C#, or Python
- Experience with secure communication protocols (TLS, CMS/PKI, or aerospace‑specific secure transport)
- Knowledge of avionics networks (A429, A664/AFDX, or Ethernet‑based systems)
- Experience with DO‑178C, DO‑326A/ED‑202A, or similar certification/cybersecurity standards
- Background with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps
- Knowledge of cryptographic key management or secure boot in embedded systems
Responsibilities
- Lead development of software solutions utilizing ARINC 615 and ARINC 615A data loading standards
- Design and implement secure data loaders and secure communication protocols
- Integrate software with avionics systems, networks, and aircraft maintenance environments
- Ensure compliance with export‑controlled requirements (ITAR/EAR) and internal security processes
- Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware teams, and certification specialists
- Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews
- Support verification, documentation, and certification aligned with aerospace guideline
