Key Responsibilities:
Lead development and architecture of software solutions for SLCM-NDesign, implement, and maintain complex software components with minimal supervisionMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teamsDrive software design decisions and integrate solutions across system boundariesLead troubleshooting efforts for complex software issues and system performance optimizationConduct thorough code reviews and establish best practices for software developmentContribute to technical planning, estimation, and risk assessment activities

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
• Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
• Agile experience preferred
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience developing software in a Linux environment with strong Bash scripting skills
• Proven experience leading Agile development teams or initiatives
• Advanced proficiency in Java and/or C/C++
• Experience with modern web technologies including React and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with Qt Framework for complex applications
• Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes and Docker)
• Proficiency with Git workflows and branching strategies
• Understanding of Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS)
• Knowledge of submarine systems and operations
