About The Position

We're building the next generation interface for commanding autonomous systems in the real world. Our core product, Anura, translates spoken or typed intent into structured actions across drones, sensors, and mission software—enabling faster, more intuitive control in high-stakes environments. We’re a distributed team of engineers, operators, and technologists focused on deploying reliable autonomy at the tactical edge. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to join our team. This is a pivotal role for a team member who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and is passionate about solving complex problems with real-world impact. In this role, you will be instrumental in contributing to the product, collaborating on engineering efforts, and helping to foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation. This role requires a hands-on contributor who can both solve problems and contribute directly to development.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in C++ and/or Python.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data structures, algorithms, and system-level programming concepts (e.g., threading, synchronization, and memory management).
  • Demonstrated expertise in debugging, profiling, and optimizing complex software systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with autonomy, performance-critical systems or robotics.
  • Experience with machine learning methods for natural language processing and autonomy.
  • Experience with embedded systems and real-time applications.

Responsibilities

  • Product & System Development: Transform innovative ideas and research into robust, production-grade software for autonomous platforms, actively contributing to coding and system design.
  • Collaborative Development: Collaborate closely with the R&D team to turn concepts and prototypes into robust, high-performance production code, ensuring clear objectives and timelines.
  • Performance & Optimization: Conduct performance analysis and apply low-level optimizations for efficiency, portability, and scalability, tackling complex problem-solving in critical areas.
  • Systems Integration: Integrate developer software with robotic systems, sensors, and other hardware.
