What We’re Doing: Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies. The Work: The C2BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train is seeking a Software Engineer that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience.
• Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.
• Experience in full life cycle software development of Java-based applications in a Unix/Linux platform environment.
• Experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
• Experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).
• Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams.
• Security+ or equivalent certification may be required within 60 days of starting

Nice To Haves

• Experience in design and development of Java applications.
• Experience in developing new capabilities into a legacy SW system.
• Experience in SW analysis against performance requirements.
• Experience in optimizing software applications for performance.
• Experience in development of complex mathematical algorithms from whitepapers or algorithm design documentation.
• Experience resolving cyber/security issues identified by Fortify/SonarQube/etc.
• CICD development experience

• Design and develop new Java applications

• Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
• Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews
