About The Position

Duties: Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies. Demonstrate a strong passion for technology and a commitment to supporting and mentoring fellow developers. Engage actively in the broader tech community by delivering tech talks, writing blogs, and participating on platforms such as Stack Overflow. Focus on enhancing developer relations and prioritize the developer experience in all initiatives. Collaborate with a team to influence and improve the developer experience for over 40,000 technologists within the Firm. Continuously seek opportunities for learning and professional growth to drive innovation and excellence.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Engineer, Software Development Engineer, Senior Engineer, or related occupation.
  • The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Engineer, Software Development Engineer, Senior Engineer, or related occupation.
  • three (3) years of experience with applying software engineering concepts using programming languages Java or Python
  • three (3) years of experience with writing code using the principles of Object-Oriented Design
  • any amount of experience with full-stack including front-end development
  • any amount of experience with designing and architecting microservices and high-availability distributed systems, including AWS Cloud Services and solution architecture
  • any amount of experience with data processing using SQL and NoSQL databases
  • any amount of experience with optimizing server systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • any amount of experience with creating multi-threaded and distributed software systems, using Java and Object-Oriented Design for diverse applications
