As a Software Engineer within PNC's Lending Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh PA. We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and support modern, scalable applications using a Java full‑stack and microservices‑based architecture. This role is ideal for an engineer who is technically strong, collaborative, and comfortable working across the full development lifecycle—from design and development through testing and deployment—within an Agile delivery environment.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Java full‑stack development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java full‑stack applications supporting business‑critical platforms.
  • Build and enhance Spring Boot–based microservices, following best practices for scalability, resiliency, and performance.
  • Develop and optimize database solutions, including schema design, queries, and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into well‑designed, testable solutions.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines, supporting automated builds, testing, and deployments.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code; participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, product partners, and stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and alignment.
