Watchtower Security is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be a key contributor to building intuitive, responsive, and scalable applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate is proficient in TypeScript or similar web technologies, experienced with modern web frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, and skilled in mobile development using React Native. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our product suite and supporting data-driven decision-making within the video surveillance domain.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or similar web development languages.
  • Solid experience with modern web frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or similar.
  • Proven experience in mobile development using React Native.
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and component libraries.
  • Familiarity with cloud deployment processes (e.g., CI/CD pipelines) and platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of backend development concepts and experience working with RESTful APIs.
  • Ability to design and implement user-friendly workflows and interfaces with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of tackling technical challenges efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive and dynamic web applications using TypeScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, or similar modern frameworks.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain mobile applications using React Native.
  • Design and implement intuitive user interfaces with a strong focus on usability, accessibility, and performance.
  • Debug and resolve application issues promptly, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
  • Ensure a strong emphasis on code quality through robust code reviews, comprehensive testing, and adherence to established best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend developers to create seamless user experience (UX) workflows for new features and updates.
  • Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms, including participation in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines and cloud deployment strategies.
  • Understand backend development concepts and work with RESTful APIs for data integration.
  • Stay up to date with emerging web and mobile development trends, tools, and technologies, applying new knowledge to enhance our product offerings.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
