About The Position

As a software engineer for the NC3 business segment, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing the next generation of NC3 strategic deterrence systems. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Software testing methodologies (Unit, Functional, Integration, etc.) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement features. Participate in code reviews for software quality discussion. Some familiarity with at least one mainstream IDE (Visual Studio, JetBrains, etc.) Problem solving skills and ability to break problems down into lowest form Ability to communicate ideas on a technical level. Can describe how what software/systems can/should do, inputs/outputs, behaviors of systems, diagram-out concepts, etc. Understand SDLC/Software lifecycle What sets you apart: Familiarity with Linux Familiarity with DevOps-based development and deployment of systems from CI/CD pipelines. Familiar with virtualization and/or containerization (Hypervisors, Kubernetes/workload orchestration, etc.) Networking skills - either able to describe networking concepts and/or have experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, etc. Experience with Agile or other methodologies. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
  • Agile experience preferred
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to break problems down into lowest form
