About The Position

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. Key job responsibilities -Key responsibilities - Creating systems and services for ingesting, processing, and visualizing vast amounts of satellite telemetry data - Building real-time monitoring systems to identify anomalies, detect emerging trends, and proactively alert stakeholders to critical situations that require intervention - Ensuring extremely high reliability, uptime, and performance across systems that receive and manage telemetry streams from thousands of endpoint - Develop software systems that meet the mission criteria and requirements. - Collaborate with your fellow team members to form a strong foundation for a software organization in Amazon Leo. - Help on-board new team members. - Utilize AWS and other Amazon technologies to build high-available software services. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
