About The Position

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

  • Utilizing Spring Core APIs including Spring security, Cron scheduler, Spring Lombak, Spring Feign client, and Spring aspect API's
  • Creating and executing parallel thread implementations to reduce SLAs using multi-threaded programming
  • Designing and configuring thread concurrent pools using concurrent programming
  • Utilizing Java Native Parsers including Document-object-model and Simple API XML which are then adopted by application teams
  • Implementing factory-based, singleton, sliding window, and MVC design patterns
  • Designing and developing contract lookup and discovery of services on HTTP using service oriented architecture
  • Implementing microservices using Spring Boot
  • Implementing microservices using event-driven architecture
  • Planning, designing, testing, debugging and deploying software solutions for managing infrastructure, project management, capacity planning, and operational efficiencies
  • Writing, designing, and testing RDMS data models with indexes and keys for testing
  • Developing REST web APIs
  • Developing JSON web APIs
  • Developing XML web APIs
  • Implementing facade and abstraction-based Spring MVC
  • Developing JPA entity layers using Spring data
  • Implementing OAuth and tokens using Spring Security
  • Writing behavioral based design test cases in Gherkin format using testing frameworks including Cucumber, Selenium, and Junit
  • Using and creating Junits using mock testing frameworks such as EasyMock and Mockito for unit testing
  • Using "Platform-as-a service" application platforms including Kubernetes
  • Designing, tuning, and optimizing SQL queries
  • Implementing RDMS using Oracle data modeling
  • Implementing Postgres using Cockroach data modeling
  • Implementing NoSQL using Cassandra data modeling
  • Implementing memory using Hbase data modeling
  • Java performance tuning, debugging and profiling
  • Employing design patterns
  • Designing, developing, and debugging AWS cloud native applications, including AWS Route 53, S3, IAM, Security, EC2, Redis, and Aurora
