Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Software, or similar) with 2 or more years related experience or master's degree in engineering with 1 or more years related experience.
Hardware and software integration experience
C/C++, Python, and/or Java programming Experience
Experience with CAN bus systems (J1939, CANopen, etc…)
Experience with design and/or implementation of controls, especially related to vehicle controls/diagnostics/communication
Hands on mechanical ability/understanding of vehicle systems
Experience with computer architecture and networking
Effective technical writing and presentation skills.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

Experience in a DoD environment and model-based systems engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

Support full life cycle engineering design and development activities
Develop system requirements specification for the overall system including verification plans
Generate overall system architecture to satisfy functional, reliability, and safety requirements
Execute software engineering tasks - including (but not limited to) requirements analysis, systems modeling (SYSML), architecture design, trade studies, design review support, integration planning, test, verification, risk management, and engineering analysis.
Serve as a resource to others within the work group, department, and the organization.
Effectively communicate with program managers, planners, and technicians.
Interface with internal and external customers and suppliers
Drive tasks to completion independently.
