As a Software Engineer you will perform a variety of assignments including system requirements analysis, architecture design, and integration of systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Software, or similar) with 2 or more years related experience or master's degree in engineering with 1 or more years related experience.
  • Hardware and software integration experience
  • C/C++, Python, and/or Java programming Experience
  • Experience with CAN bus systems (J1939, CANopen, etc…)
  • Experience with design and/or implementation of controls, especially related to vehicle controls/diagnostics/communication
  • Hands on mechanical ability/understanding of vehicle systems
  • Experience with computer architecture and networking
  • Effective technical writing and presentation skills.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a DoD environment and model-based systems engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support full life cycle engineering design and development activities
  • Develop system requirements specification for the overall system including verification plans
  • Generate overall system architecture to satisfy functional, reliability, and safety requirements
  • Execute software engineering tasks - including (but not limited to) requirements analysis, systems modeling (SYSML), architecture design, trade studies, design review support, integration planning, test, verification, risk management, and engineering analysis.
  • Serve as a resource to others within the work group, department, and the organization.
  • Effectively communicate with program managers, planners, and technicians.
  • Interface with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Drive tasks to completion independently.
