In this position, the Dealer Business Solutions organization is responsible for Ford Credit's external facing experiential application portfolio. The Dealer advisor team is responsible for putting into practice solutions for dealers' web-based tools, which dealers may access from any device and use to self-service performance statistics and supplementary insights. Professionals in this group are involved in full-stack development/Technical Anchor and implement end-to-end components of Dealer Advisor application.

  • Develop and enhance full-stack applications, encompassing back-end APIs and services (primarily using Java/Spring Boot), front-end user experiences (utilizing TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS), and data solutions (leveraging GCP DataFlow, BigQuery, and GCS).
  • Integrate with third-party internal and external libraries and APIs as needed to deliver business functionality.
  • Act as a Software Technical Anchor, engaging in hands-on engineering tasks while collaborating with the team and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products.
  • Advocate for engineering excellence, exceptional usability, and outstanding quality by conducting code reviews, ensuring adherence to standards, patterns, and architecture principles.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and stability, and integrate with best-in-class analysis tools to improve code security and quality.
  • Support the entire application lifecycle within an Agile team, from initial concept through design, development, test, deployment, and operational support.
  • Instrument, measure, and monitor application performance using cloud-native toolsets (such as Grafana, Splunk, and GCP native tools).
  • Collaborate and innovate effectively with multiple interfacing product teams, and develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides for the application.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field of study.
  • 5+ years of full stack development experience in Java (Spring Boot) and one or more JavaScript/Typescript browser-based front-end frameworks (React preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in application delivery using iterative, Agile development practices including pairing/mobbing, test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), feature flagging, A/B testing, blue/green deployment.
  • 3+ years of SQL experience (Postgres, MSSQL).
  • 2+ years of experience with instrumentation, monitoring and visualization tools including Grafana, Splunk, and GCP Cloud Logging.
  • Experience with Ford Credit software delivery toolchain including Git/GitHub, Gradle, Terraform, Jenkins, Cloud Build, Nexus/JFrog Artifactory, Checkmarx, Sonarqube, FOSSA, 42crunch.
  • Experience with GCP DataFlow, BigQuery and GCS.
  • Experience with Google Cloud platform (GCP) or PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
  • Understanding of Ford Credit business operations and/or the wider automotive financial services business context.
  • Understanding of in-dealership sales, financing and insurance operations.
