About The Position

The Ledger and Balance team builds and operates the internal financial systems that power real-time balance management, settlement, and reconciliation for Ripple's Finance and Finance Operations teams. We design the services and data models that ensure accuracy, scalability, and transparency across fiat, crypto, and stablecoin flows. Join our team and help build the Internet of Value - where funds move instantly, accurately, and transparently across borders and ledgers. As a Software Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of finance and engineering, designing the systems that keep Ripple's financial ecosystem in sync, auditable, and trusted. Every service you build and every transaction you help process strengthens the foundation of a more reliable, connected, and inclusive global financial network.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or similar + 2 years of hands-on Software Development experience in at least one of the following technologies: Java, Python, Go
  • Full-stack development experience across backend services
  • Experience with accounting or finance operations
  • Experience building scalable and performant enterprise software
  • Eagerness to work openly and collaboratively with a diverse team
  • A positive attitude and a passion for sharing knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable ledger and balance platforms that power real-time balance management, reconciliation and settlement
  • Prototype new solutions for sophisticated software problems and implement them for customers or stakeholders
  • Design, develop, and maintain web-based platforms and applications for internal and commercial use
  • Work in close collaboration with members of your team within an Agile environment and contribute across the entire software development lifecycle
  • Work with teams across the organization, including operations, product, marketing, and business development to think beyond the technical implications of your design decisions
