This role is based in New York City, requiring in-office presence for typically 3+ days a week.

  • Lead complex technical projects from ideation and design through production and deployment.
  • Design, architect, and build highly-performant and reliable technical features, tools, and services using Node.js, React/React Native, Mongo, Python, GCP, Javascript.
  • Drive the technical vision, influence product strategy, and conduct regular technical reviews.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of our product and platform in a high user volume, two-sided marketplace environment.
  • Serve as a mentor for junior engineers and participate in scaling our team.
  • 1-5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Core competency in Javascript or Python.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with leadership, PMs, designers, and other engineers.
  • Ability to understand business context and translate technical work into real-world outcomes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to create clarity in ambiguity and take initiative.
  • Experience with modern tech stacks (MERN).
  • Previous experience in a startup environment.
