About The Position

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Software Engineer. Designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure for various business use cases including ML pipelines and CI/DCD; Analyzing and interpreting data to ensure infrastructure performance and identify areas for improvement; Collaborating with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software developers to achieve common goals; Developing and managing feature stores and model registries to ensure data and model governance; Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices; and Documenting code and technical processes for future reference. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Telecommunications Engineering.
  • 6 months of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
  • Six (6) months of experience with Apache Spark.
  • Six (6) months of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Six (6) months of experience with Apache Airflow.
  • Six (6) months of experience with Python.
  • Six (6) months of experience with Scala.
  • Six (6) months of experience with SQL.
  • Six (6) months of experience with Big-Data.
  • Six (6) months of experience with Hadoop MapReduce.
  • Six (6) months of experience with Git.
  • Six (6) months of experience with Jenkins.

Responsibilities
