The Software Engineer will be part of a multi-discipline software engineering team at V2X in Indianapolis, IN, focusing on next-generation avionics and weapon system integration. This role involves developing, integrating, testing, and documenting software for Weapon System Integration (WSI) products, ensuring rapid capability integration for the airborne fleet. The ideal candidate will embrace modern development processes to enhance product quality and team productivity while supporting DoD customers and international allies.

  • Develop, integrate, test, and document software for Weapon System Integration (WSI) products.
  • Participate in the full software lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, unit testing, and software integration and test.
  • Tailor reusable software and integrate software components on virtual machines and target hardware.
  • Share knowledge with other engineers and contribute to maturing and improving processes and products.
  • Adhere to coding standards and best practices, and manage configuration of all code.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience in Software Development or other related engineering experience.
  • Experience with C and C++ programming languages.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object Oriented Design (OOD).
  • Ability to research, analyze, and optimize code to meet performance requirements.
  • Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) like Eclipse and MS Visual Studio.
  • Experience with Automated Testing and Automated Test Frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps Software Development process environments.
  • Strong communication and teaming skills demonstrated by experience working within Agile or DevOps SW development teams.
  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance.
  • Experience developing applications that utilize MIL-STD-1553.
  • Experience developing embedded software including hardware/software integration experience.
  • Experience across every phase of the software development life cycle.
  • Experience with Containerization and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Coverity or SonarQube or other equivalent static analysis tools.
  • Agile and/or SCRUM experience and certifications (Scrum Developer, Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc.).
  • Experience with DoD development process.
  • Current/active DoD Secret level or higher clearance.
