You will also collaborate closely with research teams and customers to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
• Experience in C++, machine learning infrastructure, distributed systems.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience in machine learning infrastructure.
• Experience in large-scale data processing involving image, video, or audio data.
• Experience in backend infrastructure and scalability.
• Familiarity with ML infrastructure, frameworks, and the Google ML platform.
• Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Computer Vision.

Responsibilities

• Implement solutions in one or more specialized ML areas, utilize ML infrastructure, and contribute to model optimization and data processing.
• Partner with research teams and Google DeepMind to productize models and technology on the Vertex AI platform, bridging the gap between research and real-world applications.
• Design and implement cloud APIs and services for model deployment and management, ensuring seamless integration and user experience.
• Build infrastructure and services that enable model quality and evaluation processes, ensuring models meet the highest standards of accuracy.
• Work closely with product managers to gain insights into customer requirements and translate them into actionable product features and enhancements.
