Overview General Purpose: Drives innovation across the company by designing, creating, and supporting applications and integrations on our Virtual Assistant UI Platform development team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 7 years of experience in Related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the integration of AI-driven technologies into front-end applications to push the boundaries of what's possible in user experience and functionality.
  • Lead and mentor front-end development teams specializing in React, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve front-end software solutions that meet complex business requirements.
  • Design and develop test automation code to enhance the reliability and scalability of applications across various frameworks.
  • Manage and execute comprehensive analysis and design for large-scale, innovative project initiatives with a focus on front-end development.
  • Participate in defining, selecting, and implementing the technical direction of Paychex, ensuring maximum return on investment in new technologies and methodologies, especially related to front-end innovation.
  • Act as a focal point for communicating project design and status to senior management, with a focus on conveying the strategic benefits of front-end and AI advancements.
  • Act as a catalyst for change to enhance application design and drive innovation across teams.
  • Provide project-level estimates and lead teams through story-level estimation, fostering an environment of precision and efficiency.
  • Ensure team compliance with SDLC standards and CI/CD procedures, and drive improvements in these areas, particularly in front-end processes.
  • Monitor team progress and performance, with a special emphasis on innovation and the integration of new technologies in front-end development.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting across all environments, handling high-impact production issues with expertise and leadership.
  • Maintain and enhance existing codebases
  • Lead support efforts during quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation phases to ensure the integrity and success of front-end applications.
  • Share technical expertise, guiding and mentoring team members to maximize effectiveness and deliver high-quality front-end solutions.
  • Serve as the principal technical lead on multi-team and cross-program projects, driving collaboration and innovation in front-end development efforts.
  • Initiate and facilitate partnerships between multiple software engineering and delivery teams aimed at innovative front-end project results.
  • Observe and communicate the performance of team members to encourage development and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert across multiple technologies and Paychex applications, with a special focus on front-end development and Conversational AI innovation.
