About The Position

At LendingClub, our Software Engineers are building the platform that’s transforming banking. As a UI Engineer, you’ll design and implement intuitive, performant interfaces that empower our borrowers and investors to reach their financial goals. You’ll join a fast-moving, collaborative team that values experimentation, continuous learning, and elegant solutions.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience building web experiences with a focus on UI/Front-end using React
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field of study; or equivalent work experience
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals and experience with modern build tools (Node, NPM, Webpack, etc.)
• Ability to translate a user story into modular, maintainable code
• Understanding of application security and browser-based performance
• Clear communication, willingness to ask questions, and aptitude for collaborating across functions
• Self-starter attitude — you see gaps and opportunities and take initiative

Responsibilities

• Implement and document front-end components and features
• Work on small projects independently, and medium to large projects with supervision
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code
• Debug effectively within their primary area to help find root cause
• Leave code in better shape than before
• Ensure high testability and quality of delivered software
• Collaborate with QA and Operations to troubleshoot and resolve issues
