About The Position

Maxar is seeking an ambitious Software Engineer to build novel solutions for challenging problems for both US Government and industry customers. Work is centered on the development of a suite of high fidelity, physics-based software that models air and space Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems to include their subsystems and payloads as well as ground components. The focus of this position will be to contribute to the full-stack development of components that comprises a family of applications built on this software suite. Development is conducted in an agile environment.

Requirements

• Must be U.S. Citizen and have a TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Java language experience.
• Experience with development tools such as Git, Eclipse, IDEA.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Effective oral and written communication skills include active listening.
• Capable of managing to schedule and/or budget.
• Capable of working effectively in a geographically distributed development team.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years experience.
• Practical knowledge of Agile development process utilizing the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence).
• Web application front-end experience (e.g., Vue/Javascript).
• Familiarity with microservice architectures and technologies (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Familiarity with Spring Framework and associated annotations.
• SQL/database experience.
• Linux experience.
• Experience with ISR planning, scheduling, or modeling and simulation software.
