About The Position

Octus is seeking a Software Developer to join our Data Engineering Third-Party Integrations team. You'll collaborate with a talented group of engineers to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade integration solutions that power data access across global credit markets. The systems you build will enable tens of thousands of professionals to access data, analytics, and insights that drive decision-making in leveraged finance and restructuring.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience building and supporting third-party integrations.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python or C#.
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL) and search technologies like Elasticsearch.
  • Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Django, .NET Web API, Flask, or Laravel.
  • Experience with data extraction tools (Scrapy, Beautiful Soup, Puppeteer, Selenium, Playwright).
  • Experience deploying on Unix/Linux systems using Docker and Docker Compose.
  • Familiarity with engineering best practices - version control, CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews.
  • Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about building scalable systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Agile development and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • A mindset of continuous learning and innovation - you stay current with tools, frameworks, and industry trends.
  • A collaborative, positive attitude that helps teams work smarter and faster together.
