About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Test Lead to support the NOAA AWIPS program, the nationwide weather forecasting platform relied upon by more than 150 operational sites. In this role, you will lead system-level testing, verification, and validation efforts to ensure AWIPS delivers reliable, high-performance capabilities critical to national weather operations. This position is hybrid. Must be local to one of the following Peraton facilities: Melbourne, FL, Aurora, CO, Herndon, VA, San Antonio, TX, Houston, TX, Omaha, NE, Huntsville, AL, King of Prussia, PA, or Silver Spring, MD What You’ll Do: Lead system, integration, regression, and acceptance testing activities Develop test plans, procedures, traceability matrices, and final reports Coordinate test execution with engineers and stakeholders Support test readiness reviews, defect tracking, and requirements compliance Perform system-level integration and testing of COTS and custom software Execute testing in Linux environments; create and modify scripts (Bash, Python, etc.) Support Agile development using JIRA and automated testing tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
  • 4 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of test engineering, verification/validation, or system integration experience.
  • Experience developing test plans, procedures, and traceability matrices.
  • Familiarity with Linux, distributed systems, and operational testing.
  • Experience supporting regression and integration testing in Agile environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
