About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineer –Test & Verification (Associate, Experienced, or Senior) to join the B-52H Software Sustainment Team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. This position offers a wonderful and exciting opportunity to join the Boeing team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Our team is responsible for performing software verification testing and data analysis in support of the historic B-52H bomber aircraft within a laboratory setting as part of the process required to deliver qualified, mission capable software to the United States Air Force. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate, Experienced, and Senior Engineers. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience performing data analysis
  • 2+ years of experience with software testing or software verification
  • 2+ years of experience with software testing, troubleshooting, and repairing technical issues
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.
  • Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
  • “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Active United States Government Security Clearance – Secret or higher
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science; or an Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Bomber experience (B-1, B-2, B-52)
  • 2+ years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data; knowledge of, or experience with C++ code, ability to summarize and document findings and produce data analysis reports with fully developed data driven conclusions
  • 2+ years of B-52 military experience or equivalent working with operational Link-16 and weapons data link networks; understanding of Link-16 architecture and messages; experience with weapons, POD, radio communications, navigation and radar operations

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, analyzes, and maintains software systems that meet industry, customer, and internal quality, safety, security and certification standards
  • Partners with appropriate stakeholders to inform system definition and translate system-level requirements into software requirements and models that meet customer, operational needs, performance requirements and have clear traceability to design, code and test artifacts
  • Completes software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues and opportunities; integrates and deploys mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle
  • Performs code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards
  • Monitors and reviews test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution for software systems
  • Develop user documentation and training to educate end users about usage of software products
  • Reviews product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards by tracking and evaluating internal team and supplier performance
  • Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development

  • Summary pay range for Associate: $87,550 - $118,450
  • Summary pay range for Experienced: $109,650 - $148,350
  • Summary pay range for Senior: $137,700 - $186,300
  • This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
