Here's a bonus picture of our CTO's son closing his first sale. About the role This is a hands-on Technical Lead Manager role combining deep individual contribution with people leadership. You will spend a meaningful portion of your time designing and shipping production code while leading and developing a small team of 4-6 engineers. You will work directly with the founding team to design and build the future of the financial system from the ground floor. Success in this role requires strong judgment, the ability to prioritize effectively, and comfort operating with incomplete information. You'll be working in-person 5 days/week in our lower-manhattan NYC office, building side-by-side with the rest of the team. Our tech stack is django/python, react/next/typescript, hosted on AWS.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer with 1+ years of people management experience.
Clear communicator with a penchant for solving problems and product minded
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment
Experience working in a mature React codebase in production
Experience working in a mature Django/Python codebase in production
Experience building or operating software in regulated, compliance-driven, or fintech environments

You are expected to set a high bar for code quality, system design, and operational reliability while helping the team scale sustainably.
