The Sustainability Data and Tech team, part of Google's Climate Operations, drives the company's climate and clean energy goals. We build the technology and data infrastructure enabling sustainability insights and decision-making, managing critical data to empower operations and strategy. As a Software Engineer, you will design and build scalable software and data solutions supporting Google's sustainability objectives. You will collaborate with internal partners to enhance workflows and provide actionable insights. You will be helping Google measure progress, inform strategy, and advance sustainability in an innovative environment focused on exploration, prototyping, and long-term engineering. The Google Climate Operations team is responsible for ensuring Google achieves 24/7 Carbon-Free Energy and Net Zero emissions for our global operations and value chain by 2030. The team works cross-functionally across our global operations and hardware supply chains to develop and scale new solutions on energy and carbon. It also leads efforts to create the external market environments necessary to drive decarbonization in a way that facilitates these goals and enables others to do so as well.
