Our mission is to deliver a scalable and performant storage solution for Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Connected, enabling customers to run their most demanding stateful applications including AI and Gemini workloads—at the edge. We build solutions for Google's industry-leading containerized environment, powered by Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), addressing the complexities of the evolving world of distributed systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• Experience in backend software development.
• Experience coding in one of the following: Golang, C++, Java, or Python.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience working with storage, data protection, or disaster recovery.
• Experience with Cloud platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Design and implement new features in Kubernetes.
