Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies. The C2BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train is seeking a Software Engineer that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
  • ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).
  • The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and in a highly dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience in full life cycle software development of Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).
  • Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams.
  • COMPTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required within 60 days of starting.
  • Experience with microservices and with agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with Software Integration and formal testing.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasking.

  • Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews
