About the position

Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team, as a whole, is very large but is broken down into many smaller agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading-edge missile defense technologies. You will serve as Product Owner of our GloMA team. The candidate will primarily be responsible for a software development using Java.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Product Owner of the GloMA team.
  • Develop software using Java.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals including software and systems engineers, architects, and project engineering team.
  • Interface with key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Requirements

  • MUST have an ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE.
  • Java programming experience.
  • Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause, recommend and develop a solution.

Nice-to-haves

  • TS/ SCI clearance is desired.
  • Command and control system application development.
  • Experience with message translation software.
  • Automated test and pipeline development experience.
  • Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Experience with Software Integration testing including developing automated test scripts.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation.
  • Experience designing and developing microservices and deploying with containers.
  • Experience setting up a container environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
