This position requires eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance. An active clearance is preferred but not required. This position allows approximately 80-90% telework, subject to client requirements. The candidate must be on-site at our Dahlgren, VA facility approximately 10-20 percent of the time for classified meetings and software development; as a result, candidates must be in commuting distance of Dahlgren.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field
  • 3 years of experience successfully designing, developing, and implementing multiple software components.
  • Familiarity with web development concepts and technologies.
  • 3 years of experience with a source control tool such as git
  • 3 years of experience applying software design and architecture principles to web applications, including both frontend and backend components.
  • 3 years of experience with a software lifecycle management tool such as GitLab
  • 3 years of experience writing unit tests and performing code reviews
  • 3 years of experience providing in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.
  • Agile/Scrum software development practices
  • GitLab

  • Linux (CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Operating Systems
  • Object-oriented languages and web development technologies
  • Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, MATLAB, React, Websockets, REST
