As a Software Engineer Sr., PNC's Technology organization, you can be based in Pittsburgh PA, Miamisburg OH, Dallas TX or Jacksonville FL. This position is primarily based in a location within PNC's footprint. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. PNC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong hands-on development expertise and a proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment. This role requires proficiency in .NET, Angular, C#, and SQL Server, with a focus on Agile delivery, test-driven development (TDD), and behavior-driven development (BDD). The ideal candidate will be a technical expert who can contribute to the design and development of scalable applications, uphold engineering best practices, and foster continuous improvement. Strong commitment to coding standards, process compliance, and quality assurance is essential. Job Description Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms. Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Writes code, tests and deploys software. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software. Maintains and debugs software. Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with .NET, Angular, C#, and SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of TDD, BDD, and scalable application architecture.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, OpenShift, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Oracle, and Entity Framework.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.

  • Certifications are often desired.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
