As a Software Engineer Sr within PNC's Capital Markets technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. · This position is primarily based in a location within PNC’s footprint. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. This role offers exposure to PNC’s current technology stack, opportunities to explore agentic AI development, and participation in internal hackathons. You will play a key role in enhancing the Broker Dealer platform by automating manual processes, implementing regulatory-driven modifications, and building new technology capabilities in the Fixed Income space. Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms. Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Writes code, tests and deploys software. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software. Maintains and debugs software.   • Design, develop, and deploy software solutions using PNC’s technology stack and CI/CD standards.
  • Participate fully in Agile ceremonies and collaborate as an integral member of the development team.
  • Implement enhancements, reports, and data extracts required by regulatory bodies.
  • Build new technology capabilities to support Capital Markets Fixed Income operations.
  • Ensure adherence to SOLID principles, maintain high code quality, and perform thorough unit testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles and object-oriented design.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
  • Prior experience in financial services or capital markets is a plus.
