The Space Software Product Line (SSPL) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team. This experienced software role will work within a software development team to design, implement, unit test, and verify software functionality. SSPL supports over 30 programs in various stages across all 5 LM Space Lines of Business, advancing software products through Software Factory standards and flexible software architectures. We are at the forefront of building software that supports customer missions in a smarter, more efficient way.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in a relevant field of study
Three + years of software development experience
Experience in Linux or UNIX environments.
Experience in C and/or C++
Experience with the software development process in a team environment
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience with Xilinx FPGAs
Experience with RTOS (real time operating systems) and associated development toolchains
Experience with Modern Agile Software Development Processes and tools (e.g. git, Jira, Confluence, GitLab)
Experience with hardware/software integration
Experience with Rust
Experience in scripting languages (e.g. python)
Continuous Integration and Deployment Tools: Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker
Preference given to candidates living within close proximity to a LM facility
