The Space Software Product Line (SSPL) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team. This experienced software role will work within a software development team to design, implement, unit test, and verify software functionality. SSPL supports over 30 programs in various stages across all 5 LM Space Lines of Business, advancing software products through Software Factory standards and flexible software architectures. We are at the forefront of building software that supports customer missions in a smarter, more efficient way.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in a relevant field of study
  • Three + years of software development experience
  • Experience in Linux or UNIX environments.
  • Experience in C and/or C++
  • Experience with the software development process in a team environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Xilinx FPGAs
  • Experience with RTOS (real time operating systems) and associated development toolchains
  • Experience with Modern Agile Software Development Processes and tools (e.g. git, Jira, Confluence, GitLab)
  • Experience with hardware/software integration
  • Experience with Rust
  • Experience in scripting languages (e.g. python)
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment Tools: Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker
  • Preference given to candidates living within close proximity to a LM facility
