About The Position

BI Incorporated is seeking a Software Engineer, SR in its Aurora, IL office to design, develop, and document technical aspects of software systems and related hardware interface components, based on product and system requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or any related IT or Engineering field of study.
• Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.
• Demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with Object Oriented Development.
• Experience with Service Oriented Development.
• Two (2) or more of the following: PHP, Laravel, Python, or Django.
• Experience with Angular 4, CSS, DHTML, and jQuery.
• Experience with Xamarin, HTML5, iOS and Android.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 or higher.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 2012 or higher.
• Two (2) or more of the following: SQLAlchemy, PDO, React JS, Node JS, Pandas, or NumPy.
• Experience with SQL Server 2012 or higher.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify software solutions of a high degree of complexity and scope, using a thorough knowledge of current software development techniques and capabilities within an Agile Scrum framework.
• Provide technical support to application engineers and lower-level software engineers.
• Achieve the most efficient use of available computing resources through effective use of best practices and design patterns.
• Provide new solutions and work collaboratively with Enterprise Architecture.
• Work with System Administration team to support production environment, as needed.
• Ensure defined quality controls are met to mitigate defects.
• Provide strategies relating to quality and testing throughout the development process.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings.
