Responsibilities What you'll be able to do: Software Engineer Senior - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Collaborate with business process experts, architects, and other software engineers to strategize, design, and develop robust and scalable technical solutions for data integration challenges. Lead and participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to define technical features and user stories for data integration projects. Perform and review code, technical configurations, and data mappings, ensuring adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and best practices. Translate business requirements into well-defined, repeatable, and efficient data integration processes that can be implemented by software engineers and readily modified by other data engineers/software engineers. Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software and application changes, ensuring smooth and reliable deployments. Research and evaluate new technologies and open-source components relevant to data integration, middleware, and cloud computing, providing recommendations for adoption. Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, legal, and contractual guidelines in all data integration activities. Qualifications You'll have… Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications or a related field and 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications or a related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. 8 years of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Complete software development lifecycle, from design to implementation. 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Designing and developing robust integrations between Oracle HCM Payroll Cloud and Employee Benefits and Financial systems (Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Accounts Payable), utilizing HCM Data Loader/Extracts and various middleware tools including GCP, Informatica Cloud and PostgreSQL 2. Creating comprehensive conceptual and logical data models to support efficient ETL integration processes and data warehousing initiatives. 3. Building and maintaining data warehouse solutions, developing data loads using Informatica Cloud, Informatica PowerCenter ETL Tools, and IBM InfoSphere DataStage. 4. Oracle PL/SQL for developing high-performance database applications, complemented by skills in C/C++, Shell, and Perl scripting to create and manage files essential for ETL development. 5. Implementing and managing Autosys Scheduler to automate ETL processes, including Informatica/DataStage jobs and Oracle packages/procedures, ensuring timely and reliable data delivery. 3 years of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Oracle HCM Cloud and on-premises Oracle Applications implementations, resulting in minimal disruption and sustained optimal performance. We are offering a salary of $138,486.00 - $185,964.96/yr.
