As a Application Support Specialist in PNC's C&IB payments engine organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL. Our team’s mission is to maintain, support, and ensure the stability of non-production environments for PNC’s payment processing systems. This includes: -Troubleshooting and resolving system problems -Root cause analysis and correction resulting in prevention -Implementing complex vendor software upgrades -Creating and maintaining technical documentation -Automating routine tasks that the team performs -Developing an in-depth knowledge of supported systems and applications The tools, technologies, platforms and languages listed below are required to be successful in this position. They are listed in order of importance. -WebSphere -LINUX (basic server navigation) -Oracle (read/write SQL, good understanding of RDMS concepts) -GIT/Bitbucket -Continuous integration (Jenkins, uDeploy, Artifactory) -LINUX (shell scripting) -IBM MQ -Ansible -Java programming -OCP -Kafka -MongoDB The ideal candidate: -Is willing and able to learn new tools, technologies, platforms and languages -Can work in an Agile environment -Has strong troubleshooting skills -Has a passion and interest to continually automate manual processes -Has strong oral and written communication skills In this position you will get a complete, holistic understanding of the payments ecosystem at PNC which will serve as the foundation for advancement within the department into increasing responsibility and opportunities to move into different roles such as development/programming.
