As a Software Engineer Senior within PNC's Technology - Small Business Account Opening organization, you will be based in Dallas, TX, Pittsburgh, PA or a home location in New Jersey. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. As a Software Engineer Sr your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Serve as part of a team of systems engineers engaged in large scale systems development working in a distributed environment using core technologies - Develop and engineer high level designs for converting requirements into business processes using Java and Java Enterprise (J2EE) - Participate in the business value assessment and business requirements elaboration phases. - Perform detail design work for workflows, business rules, user interfaces and reports. - Actively participate in the requirements, design and construction phases and guide project delivery from a high level technical perspective. - Participate in discussions with customers to crystallize business requirements and change requests. - Provide assistance and feedback to the junior engineering team members on all technical matters and team deliverables. - Ensure that systems are built for change, scalability, and reusability. Job Description Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms. Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Writes code, tests and deploys software. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.   • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
