About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer Senior (Radar) to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC). Essential Functions: Participates in designing, developing, troubleshooting and analyzing software programs for new and existing systems Develops/modifies documentation of new or existing program, as required Conduct/support complex Level 1, 2, and 3 testing to qualify systems for Range operations Provides feedback and reports to management on the status of each project supporting Leads technical proposals as well as software maintenance release efforts including estimating, planning, and scheduling Supports the efforts of all technical support personnel for assigned projects Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to balance, plan, prioritize and execute projects
  • Ability to work within a dynamic, fast paced environment with time constraints
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science or related science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) field or equivalent to of education and related experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Experience working with Windows and Linux (RedHat and GNU) based computer systems and components
  • Experience working with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript)
  • Experience working with design and coding languages
  • Experience working with virtualized systems (VMware)
  • Current Security+ CE certification or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of start date
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
  • Some travel may be required (less than 10%)
  • The ability to lift 30 lbs
