That's why we're building a new Software Security Engineering team dedicated to empowering our product developers. This team will own mission-critical, security-first frameworks and products, making it straightforward and efficient for our teams to build inherently secure and compliant financial technology on the Adyen platform. You and your team will be responsible for the execution of the Security engineering roadmap and vision. Requirements

• 3-8 years of professional experience as an engineer, currently working as a Software Engineer or at a similar level.
• Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills in Java.
• Demonstrable passion for security; experience in security engineering is preferred.
• Strong sense of ownership, helping to move projects forward independently.
• Great communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical concepts to different stakeholders.
• Familiarity with complex and large scale distributed systems.
• Flexibility, team player mentality, and attention to detail.
• Experience in leading technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Open to some domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across teams and time zones to get projects over the finish line.
• Lead complex technical projects from requirements analysis through design, implementation, testing and launching into production.
• Be a builder and advisor; contribute to the implementation of our engineering solutions and offer technical guidance/mentorship to other engineers.
• Identify and improve parts of our platform to make it more robust and scalable.
• Build engineering features and solutions with scalability and availability at the forefront.
• Launch fast and iterate often, bringing live functionalities that impact many merchants and shoppers.

Benefits

• Annual base salary range of $154,000 - $200,000.
• Full-time position with occasional holiday and/or weekend work required.
