This position is a member of the engineering team, developing software for medical information products to be located in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area. Requirements

  • BS or BE in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Strong software development discipline.
  • Design and development of complex software components.
  • Able to identify debugging strategies in complex software environments.
  • Skilled in investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of performance issues.
  • Familiar with requirements analysis, design control documentation, revision control, and use of bug tracking tools to ensure software quality.
  • Assertive team player with demonstrated initiative.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn our application and be able to maintain existing and develop new features.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to real-world product development that must include ASP.NET Webforms.
  • Object Oriented Design and Implementation, using .NET Technologies.
  • Thorough understanding of Model View Controller (MVC) and Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture patterns.
  • Repository and Singleton design patterns.
  • Client technologies for creating Responsive Web Design.
  • Experience in using Telerik ASP.NET Ajax Toolkit.
  • Entity Relationship Modeling and Principles of Relational Database.
  • Agile/SCRUM work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement product features from internal and external customer requirements and clinical feedback.
  • Apply standard technologies to software design, implementation, and testing.
  • Work closely with other team members to coordinate assignments and communicate progress and/or difficulties.
  • Investigate and resolve complex runtime software issues received from varying sources in a timely manner.
  • Understand requirements both from user's perspective and technical details.
  • Manage personal project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Develop new and maintain existing code and design.
  • Provide input, solutions, and recommendations.
  • Participate in design and code reviews and understand and enforce the importance of coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
