You will join the Centro Engineering team to build internal and external user-facing products that revolutionize the way we do business. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using Golang on the backend and React with Typescript on the frontend. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software that meets user needs and the goals of the business.

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional experience working as a Software Engineer.
  • Experience breaking down features from Figma designs into reusable components.
  • Proficiency in Typescript and Golang, as well as common libraries for each.
  • Experience working with ORMs and web frameworks.
  • Experience working with testing frameworks, differing testing strategies and modern testing tools.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tooling, such as DataDog.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Golang.
  • Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using React with Typescript that meet accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help define, design, and ship new features.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Identify and correct application performance bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Maintain technical documentation.
