About The Position

ICF is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, multi-faceted consulting company, seeking a Software Engineer/Developer. This developer will participate in building and maintaining web-based applications to multiple government agencies focused on child welfare and supporting justice grants to help achieve safer communities. The ICF team performs custom software development and maintenance on a suite of web-based applications using modular design standards. The team works closely with clients and other contractors to ensure the performance and reliability of public-facing, mission-critical applications. This is a 100% remote role, but the hired candidate must sit anywhere within the US.

Requirements

• U.S. citizen or lawful Permanent Resident Aliens (green card) with at least three (3) years of U.S. residency from the date of legal entry in the U.S.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
• 1+ years of experience working within DOJ team.
• 3+ years of experience delivering resilient, well-tested, consumer-facing web applications.
• 3+ years of experience with writing SQL queries and database development, working in modern software engineering and product development methodologies, including Agile.
• 3+ years of experience utilizing programs such as Oracle, Typescript, Java, Drupal, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or technical related degree.
• Experience with AWS-based deployments.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the willingness to use them.
• A strong sense of ownership and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with others to define and implement optimal, complete solutions based on stakeholder needs.
• Design back-end and front-end web-based software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
• Analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
• Capture and share best practice knowledge with the internal technical teams.
