Lockheed Martin is dedicated to shaping, developing, & advancing technologies & capabilities with a focus on our customers' needs as part of our 21st Century Security vision. We foster collaborative innovation, provide opportunities for career development, & empower our employees with the skills needed to create cutting-edge products & solutions that keep our users Ahead of Ready. As a Software Engineer in the Radar Modeling and Simulation group, you will develop high performance C++ software. Your contributions will directly support radar modeling, scene modeling, signal construction, signal processing, and radar control processing components within simulation and digital twin environments. Your software will operate as part of a system of systems integrating with external components to enable high volume and high fidelity radar modeling and simulations. You will apply a systems engineering perspective to ensure delivery of robust radar simulations. You will collaborate with team members, technical leads, and software and systems architects to deliver high quality solutions. C++ is the primary language for this role although candidates with strong object oriented programming experience (e.g. Java, C# or similar languages) are encouraged to apply.

  • Design, implement, and maintain high performance C++ software for radar modeling, scene modeling, signal construction and processing, and radar control processing components.
  • Participate in design and code reviews actively providing and receiving constructive feedback to foster a continuous improvement mindset and strengthen the quality of our products.
  • Collaborate with team leads to translate customer needs into actionable Agile tasks and actively participate in sprint planning, story break downs, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives
  • Verify and interpret software changes, including regression testing, to ensure modifications produce intended system behavior.
  • Analyze system level data to build confidence before delivering solutions to customers and downstream teams
  • Maintain and improve legacy codebases by applying and promoting software engineering practices
  • Support automation, regression testing, and tooling improvements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics or related STEM degree with minimum 2 years related experience.
