We are seeking to hire a highly motivated and energetic individual as a Software Engineer QA to assist in software testing activities for our cloud-native SaaS applications. Our existing offering is used in some of the largest companies around the world, and we're aiming to transform it into a cloud-native SaaS platform to support the next generation of our business. The ideal candidate will work in one or more of the following areas: Design and execute manual tests in a timely manner, based on both functional and customer requirements. Maintaining and continuously improve manual test plans and procedures. Efficiently test a web application from both the end user perspective as well as the technical code perspective. Responsible for the scrum team's Software testing efforts (mainly Black box testing). Be a quality advocate to the scrum team and ensure the team follows Quality processes. Work within a Scrum environment. Participate in design discussions with the product owner and the team to understand customer requirements and design appropriate solutions. Evaluate code changes to identify additional test scenarios beyond the customer requirement. Work closely with SDETs and software development from design to implementation of a solution. Use of Windows servers and server virtualization. Use of relational databases - Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server. This is a 12-month temporary contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
